Yes. A CO₂ laser cutting machine can cut many yoga mat materials, including EVA foam, TPE and flexible foam sheets. Material composition, thickness and additives should be confirmed before production.

EVA foam, TPE, NBR and cork are the materials this machine cuts and engraves. Sample testing is still recommended per batch, because foam density and surface finish vary between suppliers and both affect the edge.

PVC mats are excluded. PVC releases chlorine-bearing compounds when laser-cut, which damages optics and raises a safety issue — die cutting or waterjet is the standard process for them, and the PVC cutting systems page covers the alternatives. If your range mixes PVC with EVA or TPE, say so at the enquiry stage so the recommendation covers both halves of your production rather than only the laser half.

In most cases yes — foam yoga mat and carpet are both single-layer soft goods, and the working width and feeding structure you choose for mat production usually carry over. Two things change: carpet tile runs slower than foam of the same thickness because of the secondary backing, and the smoke load is higher, so the extraction sized for foam may need revisiting.
